New comedy from Julia Davis
Sky and HBO have commissioned Sally4Ever, a new comedy series from Julia Davis.
The brand new series, written and directed by Julia Davis, promises to “explore the facets of love and sex in our confused, obsessive and gender-fluid world”.
Starring alongside Julia are Catherine Shepherd (Peep Show) and Alexander Macqueen (Hunderby). The cast also includes Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh), Felicity Montagu (I’m Alan Partridge), Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen) and Joanna Scanlan (The Thick Of It).
Sally4Ever follows the life of Sally (Catherine Shepherd), a soon-to-be promoted marketer who, for 10 years, has lived a comfortable and dull suburban life with David (Alexander Macqueen). But on the night he asks her to marry him, Sally has a crisis and embarks on a wild affair with Emma (Julia Davis), a seductive, charismatic, boho actress, singer, musician, poet and author. Before Sally knows it, Emma has moved in, rearranged the furniture and her life.
The seven-part series, made by Hush Ho and Various Artists Ltd, is expected to air later this year.
