BBC comedy The Wrong Mans is getting a US remake.

The Wrong Mans aired on BBC2 for two series in 2013-2014, written by and starring James Corden and Mat Baynton. Corden is also set to star in the planned US remake, with Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation, House of Lies) stepping into Baynton’s role.

Corden and Baynton are writing a pilot episode for the Showtime channel along with Ian Maxtone-Graham (The Simpsons). Jim Field Smith, who directed the original, is going to direct the remake.

The Wrong Mans is an action-comedy about two ordinary office workers who have their menial existence turned upside down by a chance phone call and a case of mistaken identity.
