What Matt Berry Does in the Shadows

Matt Berry is set to star in a TV version of vampire mockumentary film What We Do in the Shadows.

Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) and Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords), who wrote/directed/starred in the original 2014 film, are serving as executive producers on the What We Do in the Shadows pilot for American TV network FX, with Waititi directing and Clement writing.

Not many details about the pilot have been revealed so far, but it has now been announced that the cast will include Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou and Harvey Guille.

UPDATE 4/5/18: A full series (10 episodes) of What We Do in the Shadows has now been commissioned by FX and is expected to air in mid-2019.

    I love Matt Berry in several different ways, but to be honest I don’t think the original film can be beaten; nor should it be messed with for TV. I can’t honestly imagine anyone else but the original actors in those roles.
