The first series of Motherland – the critically acclaimed sitcom featuring Anna Maxwell Martin, Lucy Punch and Diane Morgan – will be released on DVD in March.

Written by Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe), Graham Linehan (The IT Crowd), Helen Linehan and Holly Walsh (Dead Boss), the series focuses on an interlocked set of Alpha Mums (and one stay-at-home dad, played by Utopia‘s Paul Ready), and the trials and tribulations of parenting, from holding birthday parties and school fundraisers, to getting visits from the in-laws and starting a car pool.

Starting life as a pilot in 2016, the series began in early November 2017 on BBC Two, and as we noted in our series preview, gave a refreshing yet “unflinching portrayal of the realities of parenting”.

All six episodes from Series One, plus the pilot and some currently under-wraps extra features will be released on DVD on 5th March 2018. You can pre-order it now for £17.60, and Amazon’s pre-order price promise means that if it drops in price at any point before release, you’ll get it for the lowest possible cost.
