Chris Morris is directing a new film starring Pitch Perfect‘s Anna Kendrick.
Little is known about the as-yet-untitled film so far, but Chortle did some digging and found that filming took place this summer in the Dominican Republic and Florida. As well as Anna Kendrick, the cast includes TVO regular Kayvan Novak (Fonejacker/Facejacker), Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black) and stand-up comedian James Adomian. Kendrick has been pictured on the set in an FBI uniform with body armour and a rifle.
This will be the first film directed by Chris Morris since Four Lions in 2010. It’s a joint production between UK company See-Saw Films and US-based Archer Gray Productions, with financing from Film4.
Simon Blackwell, the creator of Back who also was a writer for Four Lions, recently told The Hollywood Reporter: “I’m aware of what [Morris is] cooking, but I can’t show you the menu I’m afraid. He has an elite troop of killers who will come and get you. He’s doing something marvellous, as you would expect.”
