Iannucci on RHLSTP
Armando Iannucci is the latest guest on Richard Herring’s Leicester Square Theatre Podcast, or as the cool kids are calling it RHLSTP.
Armando discusses his new film The Death of Stalin, which is in UK cinemas now, covering topics such as the casting of actors from varied backgrounds (film/TV/theatre), the decision to not use Russian accents, and the assumption that if you’re joking about something then you’re not taking it seriously.
There’s also talk of the sci-fi comedy pilot that he’s making for HBO about space tourism, the adaptation of David Copperfield that he’s working on, and his recently released book about his relationship with classical music. Armando is a busy man!

Armando was also recently on Scroobius Pip’s Distraction Pieces podcast, which you can listen to here.
