QI turns to O, with the help of TVO!

The ever-popular not-so-general-knowledge panel show QI returns for its fifteenth series later this month, and once again, a number of TVO regulars will be making guest appearances.

The series will be the second to be hosted by The Great British Bake-Off presenter Sandi Toksvig following Stephen Fry’s departure in 2016, and Bake-Off fans will be pleased to discover that Noel Fielding will be appearing in Episode Twelve, alongside another legendary double-act partner of his: fellow Goth Detective Russell Brand. Completing the line-up for that edition is the ever brilliant Aisling Bea, alongside the ever-present Alan Davies for an edition all about the Occult.

Across the run, Bea will also return to discuss Oceans in Episode Three, while Cariad Llloyd will talk Organisms in Episode Two, and Object and Ornaments in Episode Eleven. Sally Phillips will be chatting about the Odorous and Odious in Episode Five, and Matt Lucas joins the game to talk Odds and Ends in Episode Six.

There’ll also be appearances from (in chronological order) Bill Bailey, Phill Jupitus, Claudia Winkleman, Nish Kumar, Holly Walsh, Joe Lycett, David Mitchell, Jan Ravens, Grayson Perry, Ross Noble, Romesh Ranganathan, Liza Tarbuck, Sara Pascoe, Colin Lane, Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, Rhod Gilbert, Jason Manford, Josh Widdicombe, Susan Calman, Rich Hall, Alice Levine, Stephen K Amos, Cally Beaton, Victoria Coren-Mitchell, Deirdre O’Kane, Richard Osman and Desiree Burch. Phew!

The series will air at 10pm on BBC Two from Friday 20th October, and the 18-part series is expected to run until February. If that’s not enough QI for you, don’t forget that the first seven seasons are now available on DVD, with Series H-J and Series K-M following on 23rd October.

3 Comments on QI turns to O, with the help of TVO!

  1. Nice piece, but a few things to add: 1) I think you left off Claudia Winkleman in your list of panelists – she’s in the first episode of the series. 2) Two more QI boxset, covering Series H-J and K-M are out later this month.

  2. No Sue Perkins or Sarah Millican? madness!
