Julia Davis is among the cast of Channel 4’s Electric Dreams.

Each episode of the new sci-fi anthology series is based on one of Philip K Dick’s short stories. His writing has previously inspired films including Blade Runner, Total Recall and Minority Report. Each installment of Electric Dreams is set in a different and unique world – some which lie in the far reaches of the universe and time and others which take place much, much closer to home. While the stories may be worlds apart, central to each is an exploration of the importance and significance of humanity. There are ten parts altogether, which are due to start airing on Channel 4 this month and will be available to US viewers on Amazon Prime.

Julia Davis appears in the episode ‘Crazy Diamond’, starring Steve Buscemi as Ed, an average man who is approached by a synthetic woman with an illegal plan that could change his life completely. A smitten Ed decides to help… and then his world really begins to crumble. Also among the cast are Joanna Scanlan (The Thick Of It) and Sidse Babett Knudsen (Westworld).

The huge cast of Electric Dreams includes Bryan Cranston, Timothy Spall, Anna Paquin and Terrence Howard, and TVO regular Tony Way also makes an appearance.
