Anna Mann Stops The Fascists At The Soho Theatre
Colin Hoult is bringing his critically-claimed 2017 Edinburgh show, Colin Hoult/Anna Mann – How We Stop the Fascists, to London.
Following hot on the heels of the success of Colin’s 2016 show A Sketch Show for Depressives, Anna’s latest stage outing sees the faded famous actress/group therapist helping audiences come to terms with modern-day fascism. Who are they? What do they look like? Anna Mann in How We Stop the Fascists will help us find the answers!
The critics have been raving about the show; here are a few choice extracts from recent reviews to give you a flavour of what to expect:
“What’s so fantastic about Anna Mann as a character and Hoult as a comic writer is how wonderfully the absurd and left-field punchlines are intricately woven into the ridiculousness of their characters. The result is something that is just wonderfully hilarious and razor sharp.” Grumpy Gay Critic.
“Shows that lurch from unexpected pleasure to unexpected pleasure.” The Times.
“Anna and her close friend Colin Hoult manage to get some superbly vicious and very funny jabs in at much more than the right wing. Their description of political theatre is unsurpassable…this is beautifully written stuff.” The Scotsman.
Anna will be gracing the upstairs room at Soho Theatre (along with and a few other characters from Colin’s mind) from 25th – 30th September. Tickets are available here for £10.
