BBC Two has confirmed that The League Of Gentlemen will be back on screen later this year for three special episodes, commemorating the 20th anniversary of their debut on BBC Radio.

Patrick Holland, Controller of BBC Two, made the announcement today at the Edinburgh TV Festival.

In the short term, The League of Gentlemen are set to present this year’s lastminute.com Edinburgh Comedy Awards. They won the award themselves 20 years ago, when it was still called the Perrier. Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton, Mark Gatiss and Jeremy Dyson will be in Edinburgh on Saturday to hand over the prize.
