Celebr-ALAN-tion for Partridge in Manchester
I’m Alan Partridge is 20 years old this year, so the good folk behind the Pilot Light TV Festival are putting on a celebratory shindig in Manchester next month to celebrate.

AHA! I’m Alan Partridge 20th Anniversary Celebration Special will see the Norfolk broadcaster, who first rose to fame via On the Hour and The Day Today before getting his own chat-show, Knowing Me Knowing You and later becoming the subject of various dramatisations of his life featuring his very close friend Steve Coogan, celebrated in the latter’s home city.
Now one of the most iconic figures in British culture alongside Jet from Gladiators, Dale Winton and Chris Eubank, the day long event will feature a marathon of both series of I’m Alan Partridge, an exclusive video introduction from Armando Iannucci, a Q&A with Simon Greenall and writer Neil Gibbons, and Alan themed lovely stuff throughout the day.

The event at Gorilla takes place on 20th August, and limited seated tickets are on sale now for £15.
The recently announced Partridge quiz hosted by Band On The Wall in September has already sold out in Manchester, so grab yer Toblerones, put a sausage in your bean cup, and get on down there while you can!
