Armando Iannucci’s new book Hear Me Out is now available to pre-order.
The man behind I’m Alan Partridge and The Thick Of It is a big classical music fan, and his new book explores this passion. In Hear Me Out, he has written about a range of composers from classical greats such as Beethoven and Mahler to contemporaries such as Philip Glass and John Adams, approaching the music from the position of curious amateur rather than technical expert.
Pre-order Hear Me Out here. The release date is September 28th this year.
Also coming up for Iannucci is the release of his new film The Death of Stalin, which he has directed and co-written with David Schneider and Ian Martin. It’s set in the days following Stalin’s stroke in 1953 as his core team of ministers tussle for control, and the cast includes Michael Palin, Paul Whitehouse, Steve Buscemi, Jeffrey Tambor and Paddy Considine. More news on that as we hear it!
