A new film, which claims to “reinvent the rom com” starts shooting in London next week, and Tony Way will be playing one of the main characters.
The Revenger: An Unromantic Comedy is the story of how one man’s quest for love turns to revenge when his wife-to-be attempts to take him for all he’s worth.
The film is written and directed by Mark Murphy, who previously made The Comedian’s Guide To Survival, a film based on comedian James Mullinger, which included TVO regulars, Paul Kaye, Kevin Eldon and Richard Sandling in its cast.
The Revenger stars Robert Kazinsky (Eastenders) as tech entrepreneur, Mark, and Samantha Barks (Les Miserables) as his other half, Connie. Tony plays Mark’s best friend, Tim.
When Mark discovers his dream girl only wants him for his money he and his buddy embark on a spree of hilarious antics, subjecting her to a series of pranks to see just how far she will go to get her hands on his impending £20 million fortune.
Director, Murphy, has said of his latest project: “I’m literally bursting with excitement for this film, it’s going to get messy. Right from the rehearsals, it’s clear that we’ve got an awesome and hilarious cast; the potential here is spectacular. I’m raring to go.”
As yet there’s no information bout the film’s likely release date, but we’ll keep you posted.
