BBC Two has commissioned more Philomena Cunk specials starring Diane Morgan.

The current plan is to make three episodes this year, with ideas for themes including Cunk on Punk, Cunk on Modern Art, and Cunk on Jane Austen. An Austen special would be particularly appropriate this year, as 2017 is the bicentenary of the author’s death.

Diane is certainly a busy woman at the moment, since she is also starring in the upcoming Motherland – the sitcom about parenting by Graham Linehan, Helen Linehan, Sharon Horgan and Holly Walsh which began life as a BBC comedy pilot last year. She is also reportedly writing a sitcom with Maxine Peake.
