Festival Faces To Look Out For
It’s that time of year again – when the summer festival line-ups are announced, and we get the pleasure of discovering a few TVO faces on the bills.
So far we’ve spotted a few in connection to the Wells Comedy Festival, a three day festival which runs across 4 venues in the city of Wells (as the name suggests). Sarah Kendall will be doing a work-in-progress show on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:30pm in the Globe Inn. Tickets are just £7 and further details and tickets are available here. Also on the Saturday, Angelos & Barry will be performing The New Power Generation at 9:30pm at Wells Little Theatre for £12 – details here.
There’s also Paul Foot‘s most recent live show Tis a Pity She’s a Piglet on Sunday, May 28 at 7:30pm at Wells Little Theatre – details here, and Lou Sanders is performing a work-in-progress set on the same evening at 9:30pm at the Globe Inn – click here for more info. Foot fans may be interested to know that they can also catch him later in the summer at Jesterval, the North East comedy festival, on 28th July; details here (more acts are still being announced for that one).
Then you can finish off your weekend at the Wells Festival with a live alcohol-fuelled reinterpretation of local film Hot Fuzz by the Comedians Cinema Club – for just £6. We kid you not, this is a real thing. For more information take a look at this.
To find out more about the Wells Festival and which other acts performing (there are loads of them), visit the festival website. We’ll continue to update you on appearances by TVO folk at this summer’s festivals as and when we hear about them – so keep your eyes peeled!
