It has been announced that Inside No. 9 will return to BBC2 on Tuesday 21st February at 10pm.

The first episode we can expect to see is entitled ‘The Bill’ and centres around a group of friends arguing over who is going to pay the bill at a restaurant. It stars Philip Glenister and Jason Watkins alongside series writers/creators Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton.

Ellie White (House of Fools) also appears in the episode.

Following ‘The Bill’ there will be four more episodes (as festive special ‘The Devil of Christmas’ counted as episode 1 of the new series) and in typical Inside No. 9 style, not a lot has been revealed about them so far.

What we do know is that one episode revolves around solving a cryptic crossword in the office of a university academic and features Hunderby‘s Alexandra Roach; another is about a man who finds a shoe and becomes obsessed with finding out who it belongs to; and the other two take place at a karaoke party and in an art gallery after dark. TVO regulars appearing across the series include Mat Baynton and Morgana Robinson.

Here’s a picture of Keeley Hawes in what we think must be the shoe-related episode:
