Paul Kaye has joined the cast of Anna and the Apocalypse – a new film described as a ‘zombie comedy musical’ that is currently being shot in Glasgow.

In the film, a girl and her friends must fight (and sing) their way through a zombie invasion to reach the supposed safety of their school, not knowing if their parents and friends will still be alive when they get there. Paul Kaye is playing the main antagonist Savage, opposite newcomer Ella Hunt as the titular Anna and Mark Benton, who has popped up in various TVO related programmes over the years including Inside No. 9, Psychobitches and Catterick, as her father.

This comes off the back of some more Paul Kaye related news recently that he will narrate a new documentary about Terry Pratchett. Here’s hoping we will see his character return in the upcoming series of Game of Thrones too, if he can manage to fit it in!
