Fingering A Minor in Soho
Musical comedian Adam Kay has announced a London run for his highly acclaimed 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show, Fingering A Minor on the Piano at The Soho Theatre this Spring.
The show couples Adam’s darkly humorous re-imaginings of modern day pop and rock classics with a deeply confessional look back on his former life as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, and as we put it in our review last year, “the gags are both savagely witty and wittily savage”, with a stark and deeply moving climax that, we added, was “a testament to the brilliance of Adam’s show”.
And it wasn’t just us who were impressed, with Chortle describing the former Crims and Mongrels writer’s show as “viscerally raw and passionately delivered”, and even the Mail on Sunday couldn’t help but award it five stars. Yeah, we’re still a bit surprised by that one ourselves…
If you’re intrigued, Kay will be performing the show every night from Monday 3rd to Saturday 15th April (except Sunday 9th), and tickets are on sale over yonder now.
Don’t forget that Lou Sanders will also be at The Soho Theatre from 12th-15th April, if you fancy a TVO flavoured double bill, and the venue also has dates from Colin Hoult and Katy Brand in the coming weeks.
