Rachel Parris, the newest addition to The Velvet Onion family, is taking her latest award-winning comedy show out on the road in Spring 2017.
Although the musical comedian and improv performer might be not (yet!) be familiar to all of you, Rachel has a lot of TVO connections woven through her CV, and comes highly recommended by the people who know all about this kind of thing.
She was involved in a number of episodes of Murder in Successville – playing the parts of Sarah Millican, Tess Daly and Lady Gaga. She’s appeared in IT Crowd and Count Arthur Strong, and was in Austentatious, an improvised live show about a Jane Austin novel, with Cariad Lloyd. She also recently made a short with James Wren & Richard Glover called Godless (not yet released, although you can see the trailer by clicking on the link).
Currently, Rachel is doing a show in Oxford with Jonny & the Baptists, who are honarary onions. We think you’ll agree, that’s quite a pedigree!
Anyway, back to the future: she will be touring her show Best Laid Plans in the UK through February and March 2017. It’s a collection of songs, stories and stand-up about not having it all; no house, husband, child or wage? No problem!
The tour kicks off on 12th February in Leicester, then takes in seven other towns before winding up in Bristol on 24th March. To find out exactly where and when you can see her perform and to book tickets, head on over to Rachel’s website and click on the “Tour 2017” tab.
