Adam Miller (Mongrels) is also returning as director.

Here’s the first Christmas episode synopsis from Channel 4:

It’s Christmas Eve with The Windsors and it’s an even tenser affair than usual following the events that led Wills (Hugh Skinner) to usurp Prince Charles (Harry Enfield) as next in line to the throne. Camilla (Haydn Gwynne) is still fuming – even more so since Kate (Louise Ford) has put herself in charge of Christmas lunch, but will Kate’s festive feast meet host Princess Anne’s (Vicki Pepperdine) expectations or could this be Camilla’s chance for revenge?

The ghost of Christmas past, King George III (Paul Whitehouse) tries to get Wills to see the light and rescind the crown back to his Dad by showing him what Christmas Future will involve if he doesn’t – Charles spending it in the Big Brother house… But will it do the trick and get Charles back on top?

Meanwhile Prince Edward (Matthew Cottle) is working as Santa in Debenhams to earn some cash and Pippa’s (Morgana Robinson) wedding to Prince Harry (Richard Goulding) is threatened by soup kitchen volunteer Ellie Goulding (Lizzy Connolly). Banished from the house by a gloomy Charles, Fergie (Katy Wix), Beatrice (Ellie White) and Eugenie (Celeste Dring) are forced to stay in the stables. However the girls think everything will be fine if they can get their Daddy, Prince Andrew (Tim Wallers) home, but it’s not easy when he’s in Azerbaijan. Will their Christmas single, Daddy Come Home for Christmas, do the trick?
