Alice Lowe’s Prevenge has won the Monster Innovation Award at cult film festival Monster Fest 2016 in Melbourne, Australia.

For those of you who aren’t already familiar with Prevenge (and clearly need to visit The Velvet Onion more often!) it’s a dark comedy-horror in which a pregnant woman goes on a revenge killing spree. The film was shot in just 11 days, and Alice wrote, directed and starred in it while pregnant herself. The cast also includes TVO regulars Dan Skinner, Tom Davis, Gemma Whelan, Tom Meeten, Mike Wozniak and Kayvan Novak.
