David Walliams sketch series Walliams and Friend returns tonight for a full series, following a pilot special last year, and there’s a smattering of TVO faces to be seen across the run.

Last year’s Christmas special was a veritable nest of TVO activity, with Matt Lipsey directing, and Morgana Robinson, Colin Hoult, Barunka O’Shaughnessy and Mike Wozniak in the supporting cast, as David Walliams was joined by Joanna Lumley for half an hour of madness.

Sadly, Colin and Barunka were unavailable for the full series, but both Morgana and Mike are still on board, and have been joined by Cariad Lloyd and, in at least one sketch, Prevenge and How Not To Live Your Life star Leila Hoffman.

And with Matt Lipsey – whose previous credits include Human Remains, Psychoville, Man Down and the forthcoming Sick Note  – back at the helm, this one has naturally got our interest, before we even get to the special guests each week. Jack Whitehall is the co-star for Episode 1, while later episodes will feature Harry Enfield, Sheridan Smith, Meera Syal, Miranda Richardson and Hugh Bonneville.

The show airs on BBC One this evening (Friday 25th), at 9:30pm, and will be available on CatchUp and the BBC Store shortly after transmission.  You can see a gallery of TVO related pics from across the run below, and we’ll add more as and when we get them.
