If you’ve been freaked out by the recent spate of randomers dressing up as clowns to scare passers by (and anyone with any degree of logic in their brains knows that clowns are sodding terrifying), this sketch may just allow you to look at the phenomenon in a whole new light. [Warning: there’s a clown at the bottom of this post.]

Written by and starring Dustin Demri-BurnsSeb Cardinal, Nico Tatarowicz and Chris Hayward (The IT Crowd, It’s Kevin, Newswipe and Cardinal Burns Channel 4 sketch show), the short focuses on three regular clowns who have to bring a brother in law along to keep him company.

Seb Cardinal has moved behind the camera on this one too, directing the piece, and there are more familiar names involved too: TVO regular Bob Pipe co-edited the film with Joe Haghey, while big friend of TVO Rupert Majendie (of Knock2Bag fame) produced it.

As to be expected from the minds of these charming, but deliciously odd gents, this is a twisty slice of fried comedic gold that harks back to those glorious days when online shorts from TVO faces were a regular occurence, and it’s always a joy to see Cardinal Burns together on screen. And any excuse to watch Nico make funny is a good shout by our standards! You can watch it for yourself below.

If you like what you see, don’t forget the boys are still hosting their regular club night (featuring Ellie White) at Moth each month, and December is already sold out with a waiting list, so keep an eye on the boys Facebook page to know when 2017 shows go on sale first!
