Gemma Whelan has joined the cast of New Songs 4 New Shows, a one-off performance at London’s Lyric Theatre.

The gala performance will be made up of songs from four new musicals that are due to go into production from 2017 onwards. Gemma Whelan will be singing a power ballad from Fanatical, a romantic comedy set at a science fiction convention.

In addition to Gemma, the cast also includes Mel Giedroyc, Caroline Quentin and Douglas Hodge.
