Anna Mann in Soho
Colin Hoult‘s highly acclaimed 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show Anna Mann: A Sketch Show for Depressives will be revived at The Soho Theatre for a limited run next month.
Focused around his good friend – the beloved spinster Y-list actress Anna Mann – A Sketch Show for Depressives finds Anna and her accomplices set about to help you put down your black dog at last or at least chuck him a bone, via the gift of character within theatre. It’s a suitably madcap hour which, as we summarised post-Fringe, was “a treat that’s miles ahead of the pack”, with a phenomenal gag rate and some deliciously naughty interactions with the audience and Anna’s co-stars.
The three night run sees Colin return to Soho Theatre for the first time since Messing about with Ouija Boards in August 2015. Tickets for the shows between Thursday 17th and Saturday 19th November, are on sale now over yonder.
If you missed it recently, TVO tried to arrange a catch-up interview with the eternally busy Mr Hoult about his role in the show, but when we rang him, Anna answered the phone instead. The resulting conversation can be read right here, and for a little bit of bonus Mann, here’s her most recent filmed endeavours up at the Fringe for you to revisit.
