Most of our regulars (hello you lovely lot) will be aware that Set The Thames on Fire, a film featuring Noel Fielding in its cast, will be released on DVD, on demand and in selected cinemas next month.

To celebrate the release the production company behind the film, Blonde To Black Pictures, has kindly put together a very special prize for TVO readers – and here’s what it includes:

  • 2 x tickets to one of the following screenings + Q&A: either PictureHouse Central in London (14th September) or a corresponding Manchester event (venue and date TBC very soon)
  • 1 x signed script and poster for the film (signed by director Ben Charles Edwards and actors Noel Fielding, Sally Phillips and Sadie Frost)
  • 1 x Set The Thames on Fire DVD
  • 1 x Noel Fielding Live DVD

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. MANY THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART.

To be in with a chance of winning this Set the Thames on Fire prize bundle, you’ll need to answer the following question:

Noel plays the part of a rather delightful cross-dressing prostitute in the film; what is the name of the character he plays?

Email your answer, along with your full name, to competitions@thevelvetonion.com by 11:59pm on Friday 9th September.

We’ll pick a winner at random from all the entries, and will be in touch with them via email on Saturday 10th September to ensure they are able to attend one of the screenings. Many apologies to our overseas readers, but unfortunately we’re only able to open this competition to UK residents. For the full terms and conditions, please see the small print below – it should answer any questions you might have about the competition.
