Following a well-received one-off episode last year, Couples is now back on BBC Radio 4 for a full series. The semi-improvised comedy features Julia Davis and Marc Wootton as various couples in therapy, with Vicki Pepperdine playing their therapist.

Julia is a woman who needs no introduction to TVO readers, having created and starred in deliciously dark comedies Human Remains, Nighty Night, Hunderby and Camping, while Mark Wootton might be best known to you from his appearances in Drunk History, Inside No. 9 and Psychobitches. This will be Vicki Pepperdine’s second time working with Julia this year, having played the loathsome Fiona in Camping on Sky.

In the first new episode of Couples, Dr Tanya will meet theatre director Brian and his unhappy actress wife Kirsten.

Couples will air on Tuesdays at 11pm, starting tonight (23rd August), and episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer Radio afterwards.
