Jessica Hynes has joined the cast of a play from award-winning writer Tony Kushner. 

The play, which has the rather lengthy title The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures, will be making its UK premiere at the Hampstead Theatre, where it will run from October 15 to November 26 this year.

Along with Jessica Hynes, the play will star the fabulous Tamsin Greig (Black Books), as well as Katie Leung (the Harry Potter films) and Luke Newberry (In The Flesh).

“New York, 2007. Gus Marcantonio, retired longshoreman, former trade union organiser, renaissance man, feels that the world has turned its back on everything he has fought for in life. With his sister, he summons his three children home, trailing the appendages of their chaotic lives, to their Brooklyn brownstone for the last and most unusual family reunion yet…”
