Murder In Successville On BBC2 Tomorrow!
The cult BBC Three comedy who-dunnit and big TVO favourite Murder in Successville is coming to BBC2, with the second series being shown in full on Sunday evenings.
For the uninitiated, Tom Davis plays gruff copper DI Sleet, who pairs up with a real-life celebrity each week to solve the murder of a famous inhabitant of the fictional town, Successville. The murder has been committed by one of three showbiz names (with alternate jobs), all of whom are played by top comic talent.
Throughout the first series, word-of-mouth grew and by series 2, the wider world had really started to take notice of the show. We’re delighted that more people will now get to see Murder in Successville, with BBC 2 attracting a broader audience than its younger sister channel.
Episode 1 of the second series will be hitting our screens on Sunday at 10.30pm. Titled ‘Vigilante’, DI Sleet here finds himself framed for murder. It falls to his latest celebrity sidekick Vicky Pattison to break him out of prison so they can clear his name. The two fugitives find themselves with a number of suspects, including local politician Len Goodman, rival detective Lewis Hamilton and Sleet’s jilted lover Lorraine Kelly. Yes, really. Paul Whitehouse also guest stars. So who’s in??
