Chris O’Dowd has joined the cast of Mascots, a new film from This Is Spinal Tap creator Christopher Guest.

The film is set in ‘the ultra-competitive world of sports mascots’ and has a big cast of (mostly American) comedy talent, including:

Chris O’Dowd, Jane Lynch, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, Ed Begley Jr, Christopher Moynihan, Don Lake, Brad Williams, Zach Woods, Matt Griesser, Susan Yeagley, Sarah Baker, Tom Bennett, Kerry Godliman, Bob Balaban, Jennifer Coolidge, Michael Hitchcock, Maria Blasucci, John Michael Higgins and Jim Piddock.

This isn’t the first time O’Dowd has worked with the man behind such great comedy films as This Is Spinal Tap and Best In Show, as he starred in Guest’s 2013 television series Family Tree.

Mascots will be released on Netflix on October 13th this year.
