Richard Ayoade will be making a special appearance at The Prince Charles Cinema to introduce a double feature of Submarine and The Double.

The Prince Charles Cinema, Central London’s only independent cinema, is showing Submarine and The Double as a 35mm double feature on Monday 8th August at 6.45pm… And what’s more, it has just been confirmed that the writer/director of these two brilliant films, and all-round TVO favourite, Richard Ayoade will be in attendance!

Richard will be introducing his films, discussing his love of 35mm and also giving away the real glasses that were worn by Oliver Tate in Submarine.

For anyone who isn’t familiar with Richard’s directorial work, here’s what we thought of Submarine and The Double when they were released – in 2011 and 2014 respectively.

Tickets for this one-off event are £10 for cinema members and £12.50 for non-members and can be purchased here. They’re likely to be in high demand, so if you’re interested you should get your hands on a ticket asap! The Prince Charles Cinema puts on some great screenings of ‘cult’ films, so it’s definitely worth checking out what else they’ve got coming up too.
