Funding For Oly Ralfe
Oliver Ralfe has been announced as one of only five English-based artists and composers who have been handpicked to receive Arts Council England funding to take part in a pitching panel with US executives.
Oly has been linked with so many different TVO-connected projects over the years, we’re particularly chuffed to see him be recognised for his own musical accomplishments. The Ralfe Band musician (who also created the soundtrack to Bunny & The Bull, filmed and directed Journey of the Childmen, provided keyboard skills for Julian Barratt live, and occasionally accompanies the Boosh Band) will be receiving a £1,000 grant to compose a piece of music for the Sync Licensing Mission in LA.
The event is the twelfth annual mission organised by BPI, the Music Publishers Association and UK Trade and Investment, which takes place in the Capitol Records Building 13th-17th June. The event represents a fantastic opportunity for musicians to showcase their music to executives looking for tracks to be used in film, TV and commercials.
We look forwards to hearing Oly’s new composition and wish him the best of luck. To follow the latest news from the Ralfe Band check out their Facebook page or twitter.
