A new film has just hit US cinema screens and it includes Justin Edwards in its cast.
Love & Friendship is a romantic comedy based on Jane Austen’s novel Lady Susan, which was first published in 1871. The film stars Kate Beckinsale, Chloë Sevigny, Xavier Samuel and Stephen Fry. Justin plays the part of Charles Vernon, Lady Susan’s rich brother-in-law.
Set in the 1790s, the story follows widowed Lady Susan Vernon as she seeks refuge with her in-laws as rumours about her private life circulate through society. While she’s staying at the estate, Lady Susan decides to find husbands for herself and her daughter. So far so Jane Austen.
Love & Friendship premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016 and is now on general release in the US, having garnered universally positive reviews from critics. Take a look at the trailer below to find out if it’s your cup of tea:
