Brown, Law and Meeten go APE for S.O.S.
If you missed them on Twitter recently, Dave Brown has taken a series of comedy portraits in support of the Sumatran Orang-utan Society’s #APEril campaign.
The portraits, which feature Tom Meeten and Tony Law amongst others, are a reminder that orang-utan’s share 96.4% of their DNA with humans, yet are constantly under threat from deforestation.
This isn’t the first time Dave has worked with the charity, either. In previous years, he has designed t-shirts, developed a mightily bushy beard (no pun intended), and appeared on the bill at their Orang-Aid charity nights as Bollo, the simple but loveable gorilla and all-round entertainer.
And rightly so: we’re big fans of what S.O.S. stand for, and urge anyone with any cash to spare, or the ability to fundraise, to give some time or dosh to their vital conservation work.
For more information on the campaign, visit their website now. And to revisit one of the last times Dave went ape in a public place, here’s Bollo making a rare live appearance back in 2012: if you like what you see – donate!
