Peer at Prentis
The BBC have released a series of images of Paul Kaye as the ghostly Prentis in this weekend’s forthcoming two-part Doctor Who adventure.
Keen-eyed viewers will have spotted an alien figure who looked a little like Kaye across the series trailers, but with only fleeting glimpses and heavy make-up, it was hard to know for certain that’s who we were looking at. And sadly, the show’s understandable need for secrecy meant we could say very little about the role.
Now we can confirm he plays a seemingly undead apparition of a Tivolian, known only as Prentis, who is on the rampage through a corporation base underwater alongside Fast Show legend Colin McFarlane.
And we can’t say much more than that really, because spoilers. But the episode, written by Being Human creator Toby Whithouse also features Four Lions star Arsher Ali, and Being Human‘s Steven Robertson. You can see an introduction to the episode featuring stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, and executive producer Steven Moffat below.
The first part of the story, Under the Lake airs at 8:25pm on Saturday evening over on BBC One, and is shown across the world in the hours to follow. The second part of the story, which is actually the first part due to wibblywobblytimeywimey, airs the following weekend and will feature the combined vocal talents of comedy legend Peter Serafinowicz and Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor as The Fisher King. Don’t miss it!
