COMPETITION: Win tickets to see Stewart Lee: A Room with a Stew
He’s one of the godfathers of alternative comedy, and has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years. Now Stewart Lee returns with a fresh residency at the Leicester Square Theatre – and TVO is offering you the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the show.
A Room with a Stew is a brand new live show with fresh material in preperation for Stewart’s next BBC2 series of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle. Throughout this extensive season, the self-described ‘middle-aged comedian’ promises to explore new subjects, try-out brand new material and cut and add sections at will.
Urine, the Union Jack and the ghosts of dead comedians are just some of the subjects Stewart explores, and those attending the shows between 21st September and 6th December (or between 2nd and 8th January) get to see it all live months ahead of transmission.
We’re offering readers of the Velvet Onion the chance to win a pair of tickets to see the A Room with a Stew on a choice of selected dates. To enter, all you have to do is answer this simple question.
What was the name of the mid-90s comedy cabaret troupe which featured Stewart Lee, Julian Barratt and Kevin Eldon?
Send your answers to competitions@thevelvetonion.com by 11:59pm on Tuesday 22nd September.
One winner will be picked at random, and contacted by our good friends at AKA to arrange tickets for a performance of their choosing on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between Monday 5th October and Thursday 5th November. For more details, see the T&C below. Good luck!
