McQueen Returns
Recent stage hit McQueen will make a triumphant return later this year, as it transfers to the West End from August.
What’s On Stage report that the production, which stars Stephen Wight, Laura Rees and Tracy-Ann Oberman will follow its hugely successful run at St James Theatre in May with a ten week residency at Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Written by James Phillips and directed by John Caird, McQueen is based on the real life story of the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen and those within his inner circle. Obermen stars as the magazine editor and fashion icon Isabella Blow who discovered McQueen before she herself tragically died as her depression proved too much to live with.
Joining the cast for the new run will be Carly Bawden and Michael Bertenshaw, and previews begin on 13th August. The official opening is on 27th August and the show will run until 3rd November. For more details, keep an eye on the McQueen Twitter page. You can see the trailer for the new run below.
