The first trailer for Doctor Who‘s ninth series has been released, alongside the series launch date of 19th September 2015.

The 12-part run will once again star Peter Capaldi (The Thick of It) as the time-travelling, two-hearted mad man in a box, and Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara Oswald. Green Wing and Psychobitches legend Michelle Gomez returns as Missy, and this year’s guest stars include Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Rebecca Front and Paul Kaye.
