The Royal Television Society Awards nominations were announced this week, and two TVO-connected shows are amongst those shortlisted.
Moone Boy, The Irish sitcom, created, co-written by and co-starring Chris O’Dowd, has picked up a nomination in the ‘Scripted Comedy’ category, alongside fellow nominees Harry and Paul’s Story of the Twos and Him & Her: The Wedding.
Fans of the show should note that the new third series of Moone Boy starts tomorrow (Monday 2nd March) at 9pm on Sky1. Sharon Horgan will be guest-starring in the new series, playing the similarly-named Sharon Morgan, a high powered, yoga-loving entrepreneur.
Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton have picked up a nomination for Inside No. 9 in the ‘Comedy Performance’ category. They’re up against Harry Enfield for Harry and Paul’s Story of the Twos and Sarah Hadland for The Job Lot.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday 17th March at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. For the full list of nominees click here.
