If, like us, you’re a fan of Dan Skinner‘s output, you’ll be aware of Angelos Epithemiou: the award-winning burger van owner who first latched on to Bob Mortimer and got himself a job on Shooting Stars, but now seems to follow Dan around in an attempt to get work.
For the last few years, Angelos has been teaming up with another comedic hanger-on in the former of old-age pensioner Barry, from Watford. Barry is related to Alex Lowe, who you may have seen in The Peter Serafinowicz Show, Fun at the Funeral Parlour, Spaced and recently, Toast of London. As such, the old fella appears to have developed a cult following all of his own.
Any-how, the duo have somehow managed to create a podcast (available here) which has topped the iTunes charts on several occasions, and are now putting on a special live recording of said podcast in front of a live audience at Guanabara on Parker Street, in the Holburn district of London.
Also promised for the night on May 26th are some of the boys fave strange comic acts, so perhaps Mr Skinner may show up on the bill? Either way, this promises to be a curious evening you may not want to miss, so you can buy tickets for £13.75 (including booking fee) right now over yonder.
For updates on the special guests, keep your eyes on the Facebook Event Page, where Dan says he’s going, so… yer know. Tag along.
