Synth Heaven At Normal, Strange & Fabulous
‘Normal, Strange & Fabulous’ is the name of a unique synthpop/electronic gig taking place in April – which features Waen Shepherd‘s alter-ego, Gary Le Strange.

In addition to Gary Le Strange’s pitch perfect parodies of 1980’s electronic/new romantic hits, you can also see Johnny Normal (Birmingham synth/guitar act who has supported Adam Ant, Blancmange and other mainstream acts throughout the UK) and Shelter (an electro-synth duo who recently supported Erasure in Europe). A pretty awesome combo (and if you were in any doubt about the cultural significance of synth-based music, look no further than this fascinating BBC 4 documentary, Synth Britannia, which aired on Friday night).
The gig takes place on 24th April, and it takes place at The Islington in north London. Tickets are £11 (inc. £1 booking fee) and can be booked here. Time to dust off your leather trousers, slap on the eye liner and get yourself down there.
