Today sees the release of sci-fi action blockbuster The Edge of Tomorrow – and as we have mentioned previously, the Tom Cruise vehicle features our very own Tony Way in a major supporting role.
The comedy legend has been notching up some seriously impressive acting credits in recent years thanks to performances in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Game of Thrones and a forthcoming episode of Doctor Who under his belt.
In The Edge of Tomorrow, he plays futuristic soldier Kimmel, chosen to go into battle alongside Cruise’s character Cage, who ends up reliving the last twenty-four hours leading up to his demise over and over again.
The impressive cast also features Brendan Gleeson, Bill Paxton, Emily Blunt, Jonas Armstrong and Laura Pulver, and the film is already a huge hit with audiences and critics alike: reviews on Rotten Tomatoes stand at 95%, and the film has an impressive score of 8.3/10 on imdb.
The film is released across cinemas in the UK today, and will be out across most of the world by June 6th, including across the pond. You can see the official trailer below.
