Julian & Julia In Isolation

Julian Barratt and Julia Davis have made a surprise appearance in a KCRW radio show about American radio artist Joe Frank.

The one off art piece from the legend of monologues, was made in collaboration with Barratt & Davis, and tells the story of a lost man riding the underground in search of companionship, and therapy leading to unexpected places.

It features a sultry Liverpudlian-tinged narration from Julian, and a gentle Nothern Irish twang from Julia, plus a deightful Gainsbourg-style reworking of The Mighty Boosh song Isolation which may or may not be the one recorded for their long-mooted album.

It aired exclusively on Santa Monica based public radio station KCRW on Aprl 1st, where TVO reader Yoshiko Yeto stumbled upon it, and contacted us to let us know!

Thankfully, it’s not been lost into the ether, but is available as a free downloadable podcast from the KCRW website.  Enjoy…
