Three Flavours
If, like us, you’re ridiculously excited about the impending release of The World’s End, then the following YouTube video will be a slice of fried gold.

The film – which features appearances by Alice Lowe and Steve Oram – is the final part of Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright’s sublime trilogy, which began with Shaun Of The Dead in 2004 – which featured cameos from Paul Kaye and Julia Davis, and continued with 2007’s Hot Fuzz – which also starred Alice Lowe and Kevin Eldon.
That trilogy has been affectionately dubbed the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy in homage to Krzysztof Kieślowski’s seminal Three Colours Trilogy, and the choice of ice-cream favoured by Ed and Nicholas respectively in the first two movies. The cast and crew of The World’s End discuss the thematic links behind the films below.
The World’s End stars Simon Pegg & Nick Frost, alongside Rafe Spall, Eddie Marsan, Rosamund Pike and David Bradley plus a number of people with TVO connections. These include Submarine star Paddy Considine, Sherlock‘s Martin Freeman (our favourite Freeman moment is still Blake’s Junction 7!), A Field In England‘s very own Reece Shearsmith and Michael Smiley, Spy‘s Darren Boyd and Big Train‘s Mark Heap.
With Shearsmith, Smiley and Heap also starring in Spaced all those years ago, could we get incredibly lucky and see sneaky cameos from more Spaced stars? Find out when the film opens in the UK on July 19th. Book your tickets now!
