In what may seem like the strangest news story of the year so far, Simon Farnaby presents a documentary about King Richard III on Channel 4 next week.
Last Autumn, a skeleton was found under a Leicester council car park, and the news that it may be the long lost remains of the infamous king made headlines around the world. Tests to establish the identity of the skeleton have been carried out in complete secrecy, with no footage previously made public. The documentary film-makers have been granted exclusive access of every step of the journey, and in scenes which will be shot just hours before broadcast, the programme will reveal if the body is indeed that of the monarch.
The talents of our favourite Yorkshireman have been called upon to present the show – Simon being no stranger to history, however horrible (pun intended). Naturally, we’re very excited about this new avenue for Farnaby – and we’ll be tuning in with you all to see the results!
The 90 minute show airs on Monday, 4th February at 9pm on Channel 4. is available on 4oD.
