Tony Way will be appearing in forthcoming sci-fi action blockbuster All You Need Is Kill alongside Tom Cruise.
The $140 million film, which has been filming in London for the last few weeks – including an action sequence in Trafalgar Square – features the Mission Impossible star as Lt Col Bill Cage: an ill-equipped, recently demoted officer who is killed in action by an alien foe, only to be forced to repeat the same day in a seemingly infinite time-loop.
Also starring Looper actress Emily Blunt and Aliens legend Bill Paxton, Tony Way’s part is listed as a character called Kimmel. The film is based on a Japanese novel, with alternate character names, so his actual role remains a mystery – which it will presumably be until the film’s release.
And there’s quite a wait for that just yet – with the film pencilled in for a 3-D and IMAX 3-D release on March 14th, 2014. Stay peeled for more info. Way has also recently wrapped on Convenience – a British comedy featuring Four Lions star Adeel Akhtar – in which he cameos as “Stoner 2”. That film, also featuring Verne Troyer and Antony Head, should be released next year.
