IT Crowd‘s Katherine Parkinson and Horrible Histories Ben Willbond have been confirmed as one of the cast appearing in Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith‘s new TV project for BBC2.
Inside No. 9 (the working title) will consist of six separate 30-minute stories about what goes on behind the closed doors of the streets where we live. It invites you into six very different No. 9s, where the ordinary and mundane rub shoulders with the extraordinary and macabre. Classic Pemberton and Shearsmith by the sound of it! The first three episodes are currently being filmed, with a second block of filming next summer. The series will broadcast on BBC2 towards the end of 2013.
Alongside Parkinson a number of other actors have been confirmed for the series, including Gemma Arterton (Quantum Of Solace, Tamara Drewe), Conleth Hill (Game Of Thrones), Anna Chancellor (The Hour, Pramface), Anne Reid (Last Tango In Halifax), Tamsin Grieg (Friday Night Dinner, Episodes), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Green Wing, A Touch Of Cloth), Marc Wootton (Way To Go, High Spirits With Shirley Ghostman), Timothy West (Exile, Endgame), Sophie Thompson (Love Life, EastEnders), David Bedella (Jerry Springer – The Opera), Adam Deacon (Kidulthood, Adulthood) and Edinburgh Comedy Award-winner Tim Key.
We’ll be bringing you further updates about Parkinson’s involvement as and when any news is available.
