Richard Ayoade will be introducing one of his favourite films at The Barbican next month.

Priority booking for what’s been described as his “sinful screen treasure”, the 1967 classic The Graduate, begins for Barbican members today, with members of the general public able to buy tickets themselves from Wednesday.

The screening will take place on November 5th, so if you want to pop along and hear what Ayoade has to say about one of his influences, click here now.

In other related news, last night saw his feature film Submarine win two awards at Bafta Cymru (for the unintiated, that’s Bafta In Wales – where the film was shot).  Producers Mary Burke, Mark Herbert & Andy Stebbing won Best Feature Film, and its star Craig Roberts won Best Actor.

If you haven’t seen Submarine yet, first of all: why not? Secondly, you can pick up a copy on dvd or blu-ray from our official TVO Amazon Stores in the UK and the US now.

You can see the entire awards ceremony below – with Submarine winning it’s award around the 22 minute mark, whilst Craig’s nod for Best Actor – presented to him by Hunderby star Alex Roach – is presented 2 hours, 10 minutes in.  Enjoy.
