Bedtime Stories With Fielding

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Noel Fielding read you a bedtime story? Wonder no more…

In this video Fielding and actress Thandie Newton read the slightly unconventional bedtime book Go the F**k to Sleep by Adam Mansbach. This is, as the title hints at, not a bedtime book for children but rather for the parents who know how difficult it is to get children to go to sleep.

The award-winning author manages to capture the frustration of the situation perfectly while laughing at the absurdness of it all. It’s a book that will certainly resonate with all the knackered parents around the globe, and Newton and Fielding’s narration complements the story to a T. It’ll make you laugh anyway, whether or not you’ve been through it yourself!

  12. Despite the bad language – and I am a serial swearer – I loved this. It was so tender and they both really complimented each other in the reading of this little story. Noel injected some real emotion to this – it quite moved me. I could almost visualise him struggling with his temper and yet melting at the predicament of trying to get a child to sleep. Although I’ve never had my own – I’ve watched others trying to get their babies to sleep and you need a hell of a lot of patience! I remember an old friend running up and down the stairs. And he seemed to wait until she had got nicely settled on the couch before emitting that high pitched scream again!
