The cast of Mongrels will join the first ever Comedy Prom this weekend.
Hosted by the inimitable Tim Minchin, the event at the Royal Albert Hall takes place tomorrow night, Saturday 13th August, at 7:30pm.
The Mongrels team, fresh from wrapping on the second series of the show [coming soon to BBC3], will be joining Tim on the bill, alongside Sue Perkins, Kit and the Widow, Beardyman, The Boy With Tape On His Face and Doc Brown, alongside soprano Susan Bullock, pianist Danny Driver and the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Litton. The musical director for the show will be Jules Buckley.
Tickets may still be available from the BBC Proms website here, and the event will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3. HD audio will also be available on the website, and the recording will be made available for 7 days after the event on iPlayer.
The show will also be broadcast on BBC Two on the 27th August. We’ll be bringing you more details nearer transmission.
